'A satisfying and funny tale of revenge' - HEAT

Product Description

Set in a television production company, this is the story of revenge against an awful boss. Janet is 42, a career woman who lives on her own but would like a boyfriend or husband but isn't desperate about it. She has a pivotal role in the television productions - thinks up most of the ideas, writes and often directs and produces. Harry, her boss, takes all the credit but any blame gets firmly placed on Janet's shoulders. Val is Harry's wife. On the surface she has everything she could want - a successful husband, money, fabulous clothes etc. But underneath she's lonely. Janet and three of her colleagues are fed up with the way Harry treats them. When they find out he has a mistress and is betraying Val, they decide to take their revenge...

2.0 out of 5 stars Was Harry Nailed?, 2 Jan 2004

I chose this book because I liked the idea of the characters getting revenge on their boss. However, I didn't think that the author made the most of this great idea. I found parts of the book quite repetitive and couldn't really get to like the characters. The 'nailing harry' moment wasn't long enough and I didn't feel satistfied as a reader that he had got his comeuppance. However, saying all this, I think that the book was an easy, relaxing read and would be suited to readers over 40.

3.0 out of 5 stars This book is not the best book to read, 16 July 2004
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Nailing Harry (Paperback)
This book is not the best book to read. But at the same time I would not say that this book is the most terrible book you have ever read. The book's plot tends to repeat the same things over and over before it makes a point. The characters are not that interesting.
