From the Manufacturer
At our headquarters, our inspectors thoroughly examine every part of the jewellery creation process to ensure there are no defects in our product. This includes checking the stamping process, loose stones, smoothing, polishing and plating.
Each of our jewellery creations at Naava is beautifully gift boxed, ready to be presented to your loved ones on that special occasion.
Our diamonds are part of the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KPCS). This process was established in 2003 to prevent the sale of "conflict diamonds". It ensures that diamond purchases are not financing violence or undermining legitimate governments, making our diamonds reliable from source to sale.
Metals: 9 ct Gold
9 ct gold contains 37.5 per cent of pure gold - The remainder of the metals is made up of a combination of alloys which are different metals that can help to give the metal its unique appearance, such as white, rose or yellow gold.
A diamond’s cut is a description of its physical shape. Many different shapes can be produced by skilled diamond cutters and the shape that is chosen often depends on the inherent qualities of each individual diamond. A description of a diamond’s cut can also detail the quality of any particular cut, based on the amount of light it refracts.
There are five categories a gemmologist observes in a diamond under a 10x magnification scope. These imperfections will determine what clarity grade the stone will fall into: No imperfections at all – FI or IF, minute imperfections – VVS, minor imperfections – VS, noticeable imperfections – SI, or obvious imperfections – I.
Experts determine the colour of each diamond by comparing it to authenticated master diamonds with the majority of diamonds falling within a white, colourless , a near colourless or a light yellow shade. It is then colour graded to a precise number ranging from D to Z.
A diamond's weight is given in carats and points. There are 100 points per carat so 0.33 carats is usually expressed as 33 points, or 1/3 of a carat. A diamond cutter will often remove the smallest amount of rough diamond possible whilst maintaining a quality finish in order to maximise carat weight.
