Book Description

29 Jun 2011 Kushiel's Legacy
Moirin is alone, and far from the land of her birth, with nothing but a few resources of her own to draw upon, and few friends she can call upon, in what is about to become a nation of enemies. And there are hard questions ahead that she will have to answer: whether she can forgive a deliberate betrayal; whether she will fight against all odds for her love; and whether, when all believe her dead and her life and her religion hang in the balance, Moirin can sacrifice her beliefs, or will hold true to her goddess even in death . . .

Review

"Ms. Carey writes some of the most gorgeous, imaginative fantasy I've ever had the pleasure of reading...Naamah's Blessing is a near pitch-perfect finale to a rare, truly fantastic series...the conclusion to Moirin's story is handled with the deftness, emotional poignancy and depth that is Jacqueline Carey's trademark...With Moirin's adventures concluded, I can only hope that there is more in this universe coming, and soon."-- "The Book Smugglers " --This text refers to the Paperback edition.

5.0 out of 5 stars End of an era 10 Aug 2011
Format:Paperback
I've just finished reading 'Naamah's Blessing', the last in the final trilogy based around Terre D'Ange, by Jacqueline Carey. It was brilliant; a real page-turner that wrapped up Moirin and Bao's adventures and destinies perfectly. I'd suggest going back and re-reading the first two books in the trilogy before reading this one; it's been a while since I'd read them and they read so much better as a whole rather than 3 separate books. It's just a shame that Carey has no current plans to write any more books about the world I've come to love. And if you haven't already read her other trilogies ('Phedre trilogy' and 'Imriel trilogy') then get reading!

4.0 out of 5 stars The final curtain 22 May 2013

The last in the Kushiel series. I enjoyed the grand finale and was pleased to see a member of House Sharizai being a good guy (even when he was delightfully scary.)

This was an enjoyable read, focusing on different aspects of Elua and the companions. A love story in many different ways.
