A nice little coffee table book.,

I've got a whole ton of books on street art - this isn't the best but its probably one of the better ones out there just for the amount of images at least.
This pocket book is nice and thick - 637 pages - all in full colour and packed full of images. Following examples from New York and Barcelona this collection has a short introduction before getting straight to it. Hundreds of examples - all varied - graffiti, stencils and stickers. Plenty to look at and get inspired with. Its downfall is that artists, and locations, aren't identified so if you aren't familiar with the work it difficult to identify them. More suited as a good coffee table book - you can keep picking it up and always find something new. However, I wouldn't pay more than a tenner for it.

This book looks very nice, and 600+ pages sounds impressive. But the content is quite repetitive and much of it is of terrible quality. I saw a photo album of street-art that someone took on a single day walking around Barcelona, and those photos deserve to be published in book-form perhaps even more than this. The book is photos only, no insight or stories about the people behind the work. This book seems to be aimed primarily at people who want to show how hip their taste is by putting this on their bookshelf. If you allready know a thing or two about graffiti and street-art this book will disappoint you.
