I spent hours researching travel cots, including going to shops to test how easily they errect, this included the phil and teds travel cot and the traditional travel cots. Here's my thoughts to help save others the time!
We bought the large blue NScessity travel tent because:
- it was the easiest to assemble (it pops up in a second)
- it is quick/easy to pack away (watch the demo on the NScessity website first)
- it is very light and we take it on flights, also easy for train/car
- our baby loves it because no matter where we have taken him, the inside is familiar to him, he feels safe and secure, he first slept through the night in his tent at 9 weeks!
- it gives us flexibility to go on holiday or to friends for dinner or lunch without disturbing our baby's routine or environment, because when he's inside he can't see that he's not in his own room
- a normal fitted cot sheet fits on the self inflating mattress. Put the mattress inside the tent with the soft covering on top of it, then the bed sheet, rather than slotting the mattress into the bottom flap of the tent
- it is suitable from birth, and can be used with child up to 4 years so excelent value for money
- we can use it inside, or outside at the beach or park with benefit of UV protection
- in the summer months when his room is bright at 7pm, even with a black out blind, we have slept him in his tent at home because it is darker and no mossies can get at him.
All in all, I don't normally write reviews, but as this is the best baby kit we've bought, felt I had to spread the word, we can't recommend it enough!
