This attractive table from Nottingham Rehab Supplies is ideal to use all around the home and especially in the bedroom or lounge, so you can sit comfortably in bed or chair with a handy table nearby. It's suitable for use by children and adults, and is great for wheelchair users.
The table is extremely versatile and ideal to place a drink on, or to eat a meal in bed or in front of the TV--it's perfect for a leisurely breakfast in bed. You can keep objects such as the telephone, your spectacles, and so on close to hand. The table tilts so you can use it to hold a book or magazine at an ideal angle for reading, or can be kept flat for writing or hobbies such as jigsaw puzzles, board games, and so on.
The table consists of a tubular, coated steel frame in black with a brown, melamine table top. The base features two tube legs that slide into position under beds and chairs that have little space inbetween the bottom of the bed/chair and the floor, for example, divan style beds or armchairs. There are also two castor wheels allowing the table to be manoeuvred without lifting from room to room. The table can be easily adjusted between heights of 560-840 mm (22-33 inches), by simply unscrewing the large, easy to grip locking wheels and sliding the telescopic frame up or down to appropriate height, screwing in place again after.
The spacious table top measures 530 mm in width by 400 mm in depth (20.75 by 15.75 inches). It features integral ridges on the table edges which restrict any spillage and stop objects such as pens from rolling off. The table top also tilts up to 45 degrees which is useful when reading. It can be wiped clean easily.
The overbed/chair table is supplied flat packed with some simply assembly required.

Sturdy, stable, portable, height/tilt-adjustable. Some measurements below. Beware use for divan beds.

Sturdily built, though rather heavy as a result. It has little or no wobble and feels reassuringly solid and stable. It can move a little too easily on a hard smooth floor so if necessary try castor holders or something to keep it still; however, 'chocs away!' if it's on carpet as the carpet's "resistance" keeps it still.
Its feet go fine under my normal beds but not my divan beds - feet are approx.2.5 cm high rising to approx.4cm near the uprights, so check your bed if you want to use this table over it.
The table top is approx. 53cm x 39 cm within the lip (rounded corners) so it takes a standard laptop computer comfortably with space for the mouse, drinks mug etc. It also works well as a side table, and for eating supper off while watching tv - I find that space isn't cramped unlike some tv tables. The top is an attractive rich orangey-brown wood-effect (melamine or similar). The lip height round the edge is negligible (approx.5-6mm) so it won't keep things on the table if tilted much.
Bought this to avoid frequently moving a similar one up and down stairs; my old one wobbles, making me realise how much better-built this one is.

I bought this for my mother, as a table for use over the bed or when sitting in the lounge, for this it is good, however a new use has become clear. As a trolley to transport food from room to room, with the two wheels this makes that possible whilst the two feet makes it into a stable table.
Overall this table is very useful and has become, within a short time an essential, universal help.
