This handy shower stool from Nottingham Rehab Supplies allows you to sit down when showering to increase your comfort and make it a more relaxing experience. It's useful if you find it difficult to stand for long enough to shower safely, and is a simple yet ideal solution for someone who is at risk of falls. Using the stool in a shower or wet room can help increase confidence when showering for a child or elderly person.
The stool is highly durable with a strong moulded plastic seat that is comfortable to sit on. The round seat measures 325 mm in diameter and has a textured surface that gives slip resistance when you're seated. The stool has strengthened aluminium legs that adjust easily in increments between 356 mm and 534 mm. To adjust the height, simply pull out the grey, plastic 'e' clips, slide the leg extensions up or down the frame tube to the appropriate adjustment hole to achieve the height you need, then push the clips back in. Non-slip rubber ferrule feet ensure the stool doesn't slip on the shower or wet room floor.
The stool is supplied flat packed. Some assembly is required using a screwdriver (not included) but this is easy to do. The stool weighs 1 kg and can be easily taken apart for portability and travel use if required. The overall floor space (footprint) needed to fit the stool is 385 mm in length and 385mm in width. The maximum user weight limit recommended for this product is 136 kg (21 stone) and if your weight is above this, the product is unsuitable.

This is a handy stool for fitting in a shower as it is light for lifting but very stable for sitting on while showering. Would recommend it.

I was supplied by my OT with a steel shower stool which was large and soon went rusty. I wanted a non-rusty alternative. This goes in my level access shower so much better as I can pivot round on it and it take less room in my shower as well. It doesn't go rusty as it is aluminium. For the money, it is brilliant! I highly recommend this stool. Assembly requires a No. 3 Pozidrive screwdriver but is quick and easy.

I ordered this economy shower stool based on other reviewer opinions, and because I didn't want to ay an exorbitant price for something which, hopefully, would only be used for a fairly short time. I was about to have an operation on my left foot which meant I couldn' stand for long periods in the bathroom whilst washing etc.,and this has proved to be ideal. It is a decent size, sturdy and excellent value for the money. Because we have a shower over a small sized bath this would not be suitable to use, but for anyone with a full size bath or walk in shower this would be great. The adjustable height is a real bonus.

Shower stool

Useful little stool
Great product. Bought for using when I was heavily pregnant with tired and very swollen legs. Adjusts to many heights and is sturdy so don't feel will slide or fall off it.
