Format:Audio CD
I bought this Now 68 collection as a stocking filler for my son this Christmas and i can't stop playing it myself.
Being a middle aged man i would not normally entertain this type of cd,i try to keep 'with it' by listening to the likes of the Stereophonics,Phil Collins and The Killers and the fact that their respective new singles feature here prove my point that there is something to suit most tastes here.
Disc one is more club/dance music with Craig David's 'Hot Stuff'(featuring David Bowies Let's Dance) a particular favourite and i was suprised to find myself singing along to Shane Wards 'no u hang up' and Girls aloud!!
Disc two has a sprinkling of indie/rock tracks in amongst the 'pop' music proving great value for money.
I recommend this compilation for fans of the top 40 in particular.
It certainly helped make decorating the bedrooms more fun that's for sure.

Now 68 is phenomenonally strong. It boasts five number ones, six number twos, three number threes plus ten other Top 10 hits.
Now 68 is also bang up to date. At the time of writing it features the current numbers 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 13, 17, 19, 21, 24, 28, 29, 31, 34, 35, 36, 38, 39 and 40. In other words 23 songs from the Top 40 in the week it was released. Most of the tracks now at lower positions were previously much more substantial hits.
What more could you ask for in a collection? Now 68 is an obvious stocking filler that's sure to delight, unlike some of the more filler-padded collections of the past.

Well, let's take for granted the list of Mr. Kaz (I hope it's a real list and not a "wish list"), otherwise I could be blowing in the wind... probably better saying "writing on the water".
The problem is always the same: the difficult that the EMI-UNIVERSAL "block" have to acquire licence for the tracks of the other block (SONY & BMG-WARNER) has forced them to put in the track list many songs that are not exactly super-hits: Mika, Hard-Fi, Fergie, Groove Armada etc... (However OASIS it's a nice shot!). But there's a song on the list that I really hate to see: "In the air tonight" (Blame it on that wondrous Gorilla!). I'm fearin' that if Elvis wasn't a "Sony-BMG" artist would have been included too.
What I want to say is that the old hits shouldn't be included in the NOW compilations, even if they had just returned in the charts.
There are probably hundreds of songs that could have been better included on the track list instead of the Phil Collins' classic.

Unmissable as always.
Everytime a Now 68 CD comes out, it never fails to deliver. A few people have been saying that the song choice isn't very good but they should of done some research. Read more
