The West Highland Way is one of the finest of Britain's long-distance paths. It passes through six separate mountain ranges, from the tall elegant cone of Ben Lomond and the crag towers of grim Glen Coe to the seductive Mamores. But does it go onto those enticing Stobs and Bens? It does not. It runs along Glens Falloch and Finnan, close to the Highlands' second busiest main road and the West Highland Railway. About the Author
Multi-award winning author Ronald Turnbull has written many Cicerone books on challenge-walking, bivvying and walking in Scotland. After walking bits of it, and above and around it, he finally gave in and walked the West Highland Way in March 2008.

Great Book,

Great wee book with loads of spectacular walks. Lots of detail in the description of the walks. Loads of useful general backpacking tips aswell. The maps could be more detailed but you shouldn't rely on them anyway. Can't wait for spring so I can get out and walk some of the routes. Beats the normal WHW by a long shot.
