Product Description

The E-Tip Glove is a form fitting, four-way stretch glove that offers warmth and maximum dexterity. For urban wear, you can comfortably work your phone, MP3 player or laptop mouse pad with warm fingers in this glove. The stretch knit shell is ideal for three-season wear. And whatever you need to hold - a rope, ski pole, dog lead, horse reins, ice axe or après ski mulled wine - the silicone grip pattern on the palm will help you keep a tight grip on it.

These gloves certainly lend themselves to dextrous movement of one's hands , allowing for full articulation of all fingers whilst providing excellent grip. However, I found that they didn't offer much in the way of significant insulation in conditions where there is even a slight breeze. Moreover, the internal seams of the gloves are found to be less than the quality expected of a premium brand whereby poor stiching dug into my hands. I may have bought a rare pair that was defective though I feel that common to this particular type of glove is an issue of insulation which may be possibly overcome by other North Face gloves. I agree with the previous reviewer that the ETIP gloves do not seem to be particularly robust. On the whole I didn't feel too convinced by these gloves.

With respect to the "E-Tip" feature, it works very well. The small contact point on the finger tip allows for good control of touch devices. The glove isn't too thick, so it isn't a clumsy experience.

However, the glove itself offers very little insulation, i.e. it will obviously keep the cold at bay better than no glove at all, but your hands will get cold faster than with gloves made of other materials. I would suggest using a thin liner glove for increased insulation.

Perhaps The North Face would consider improving this glove to include a lining up to but just short of the fingertip area, OR put the E-Tip material on a "Windstopper" glove or something with better insulating properties.

It's a very good idea, the only thing is the tips are not very hard wearing. Only had these a month and the tips are aready worn out. I do wear these most days and reast of the gloves are fine. So would recommend if you are not going to wear them often but then again why would you spend that amount if money on a pair of gloves if you not.

Pros - nice gloves
Cons - tips don't last long

Brilliant looking gloves. Dose what it says on the tin. All in all a good buy however the gloves aren't wind resistant.
