It really couldn't be any more convenient whilst also saving an estimated 60% off your energy bill. This frame makes a perfect gift for technophobes, no longer will a frame sit around grandma's house unused! Stylish azure blue touch controls on an obsidian black frame provides for a modern yet elegant look complimenting most interior decors. The NIX frame is designed for the greatest convenience: grab the memory card from your camera (or USB flash drive), insert it into the frame and transfer your images directly onto the frames large 2GB internal memory. The frame will automatically re-size your photos to the optimal size for the frame, allowing you to store as many as 16000 images on the internal memory whilst maintaining the best resolution for your frame. Alternatively you can connect the frame directly to your PC or MAC and transfer movies, music or other images (note the frame does not resize files from a computer only directly from a memory card or USB flash drive). The frame's motion sensor operates by switching the frame off when it senses no movement. You can set the frame to power off after sensing no movement for any period of time from 1 second through to 24 hrs down to the second! The motion sensor makes the frame ideal for commercial use too: grab customer attention with the motion sensor. Remind employees of SOP's or announcements when they pass by. We identified this frame as offering a good balance of price, functionality and, based upon reviews, quality. The intention was to purchase three as Xmas gifts for sons (each loaded with embarrassing photos from their youth). Decided to order one frame (for £109.99) to determine suitability. This arrived but the display was faulty (damaged/dead area in one corner). Returned, money refunded and replacement ordered (for £99.99). Replacement appeared okay so ordered two more (for £109.99). Of these one was faulty (damaged dead area on one side and display "yellow") and returned, refunded and replacement ordered. This replacement seems okay. Hence required to order five frames to get three that are acceptable.
A 40% rejection rate suggests a total lack of quality control at the manufacturers. This aside display size, resolution and colour are good for the price and the features such as motion detect and picture rotation are useful.
I note that the price has now increased to £119.99. Anticipation of Xmas orders no doubt. Over the same period the price of the larger 15" frame has varied between £109.99 and £139.99

Really happy with the motion sensor on the frame - means that it can be set up for great-grandma and she doesn't need to press anything! Can select the speed at which the photos automatically change. Controls on remote quite small and detailed but we won't be using anyway. Arrives in smart box and velvet-style cloth. A lovely gift.

I had been waiting for a digital photoframe for a long time. I saw this was released in the States and contacted them for a UK distributor.
The frame was ordered on a Friday evening and was delivered on the Monday morning.
It is easy to set up they recommend a 800*600 format, the clarity is excellent, have it set on factory default settings with it switching off after 30 minutes if it doesn't detect any movement.
Can only recommend this to anyone wanting a 12" frame
