This is a lovely looking table and I'd say good value for money. It's solid oak, hence quite heavy, and the base comes in 3 sections to join together....ours sadly does not feel overly sturdy (could be my hubby's DIY skills!) It's a bit wobbly and the glass top, which just seems to sit on 4 round rubbers, moves & lifts off a bit too easily. It's not a patch on our Tom Schneider predecessor which was so solid it couldn't be moved, but then it's only a 6th of the price. Overall I'd recommend it, it looks great in our dining room and I'm confident will stand up to us eating off it no problem, I just wouldn't let the kids run round it! Supplier also recommended....great communication and quick delivery.

Sturdy Table 11 Jan 2012
Ours is sturdy and unless you put great pressure on one side the glass stays put. Impressed for the money.We push ours around and it has stayed together.
