Big Hit With My Son
on 15 March 2009
My son at boarding school is delighted with this. The results are good and it is dead easy to use and clean.
The coffee 'pods' are not cheap, especially when for some coffees you need to use two. 30p+ per cup.
The Nescafe website offers you various deals on buying the coffee - each time you buy a box of pods you enter a code and get more points via their website towards a free box. Sounds good. Except the box is not free, as the postage costs more than the box of coffee!
In short, be honest with yourself. You are not buying a coffee machine. You are buying a long-term relationship with Nescafe where Nescafe make a lot of money on selling you high-price coffee and absurdly over-priced postage, with a cute-looking machine thrown in to make it look like a better deal.
But it's better than boarding-school coffee...
