Amazon Verified Purchase
The Title says it all. I bought 2 of these for the same reasons that the other reviewers bought them - to plug into a car radio. They are superbly compact and I was delighted with them.....right up until I plugged them into the Radio.
My (Sony) radio refuses to recognise them displaying the error message 'Not Supported'. I've reformatted them to make sure that they're FAT32, and put files on them that play fine on the radio via another manufacturer's USB data key. Nothing I can do will make them work.
It's ironic that the product name is Innodisk plug-and-forget, since that's what I'll have to do - forget it. They're no use to me if I can't use them in the car - yet they work fine to a PC so I can't return them.
This is the only time I've ever seen a USB data key fail to work - obviousy it's not quite as 'standard' an interface as I've assumed.
I suggest that anyone with a Sony car audio system should think twice before buying these.

I ordered one of these little flash drives for my netbook as it was small and could sit in the USB port indefinitely without fear of being dislodged, and on initial use it worked as specified with files transferring in a few seconds. However, if you plan on moving larger files (anything bigger then an MP3) or multiple files please look else where as this drive is depressingly slow and by that I mean hours for 50MB, anything larger and it's even longer and seems to be exponentially longer. If they had included that minor detail in the spec, I would have looked else where, alas, I now have a drive I really have forgotten about, good thing it wasn't expensive. So, in short, unless it's for a few files, or you really want a drive to load once and never change. Avoid this drive, you'll save a few days waiting for files to transfer.

I bought two of these, one to add ReadyBoost support to my Windows 7 PC and the other to store music for use with a Mac. Unfortunately, while they mount and function they are far, far too slow to be of any use. The Windows PC reports that the device is too slow to use with ReadyBoost and trying to copy files to the device confirms this... on both Mac and PC, whether formatted as DOS FAT or Mac OS Extended the file transfer times are unbelievably slow, 1Gb files took in excess of 23 hours (yes hours!) to copy onto the device.
These devices do work, but are way, way too slow to be in any way useful.

Works fine in Toyota Car Stereo
