The NEC E338 is a compact 3G phone that shows NEC's continuing commitment to producing high-quality and popular 3G handsets.

The NEC E338 is ultra compact for a 3G handset. It features a large 220x176 pixel display in 65,535 colours and has a digital camera with 2x digital zoom which rotates. The camera can be used for stills photographs and video calls.

The E338 will roam to GSM networks where it supports GPRS, if it would be outside 3G coverage area. It's on the 3G UMTS network that the NEC E338 really performance, giving download speeds of up to 384kbps and allowing streaming video and high-speed web access.

The E338 features Java for games and other applications, two-way video calling, email support and various audio and video playback functions. Internal memory consists of 17Mb which is enough for a couple of audio tracks or video clips.

Well, I've been waiting for a cheap 3 phone. AND HERE IT IS!
From free with 3 contracts, 12 month discount half price. Means that I pay 15 pounds for 500 minutes (8 hours!!!)
WOOOOOO! I pay around 40 on Vodafone credit. This phone doesn't have IR or Bluetooth, but who cares? If anything, you get it for the sake of getting a great deal with 3.
