Like many people, I got this game and was really excited to play it but the 500meg update took over 4 hours to download. But that isnt no ordinary download, thats the new chronicle 3 that makes L2 every bit fantastic. You can now swim in L2 and lots of new features, which some of the other reviews complained about, are now here. The community for the game, in my experience is great. Forming hunting parties and clans is an integral part of the experience and exploring dungeons with friends is, well, amazing. The game play is a bit limited to kill, kill, kill but somehow and I dont know how, its really great. Killing on your own is boring but you are never alone. I got bored of this game a few weeks ago and as I still had some subscription I have just come back to it. Its still as fantastic as I remember. Getting levels is hard but the combat system is beautiful to look at and there is no fear greater than having 4 warewolf cheiftens chasing you as you run for life and limb(s). This game is worth every bit of its price tag so my advice is buy now!

In short, the game is absolutely fabulous, though rather 'laggy' on a penitium 3, 256mb RAM. Its all you could want from a MMORPG!
The chat is clear and descisive, the operation is brilliant, and the meer size of the game states how amazing the graphics are.
In my mind there is 1 BIG let down. The game involves an auto updater, which MUST be ran on the first use. The things that it downloads adds another 2gb (almost) to your hardrive, and through my wireless LAN and BT broadband, took over 5 hours!
Thats why it only gets 4 stars.

Lineage 2 is nothing short of additive.
before you know what has happend 3 days have gone by, but you must be prepared to work at this game, if you want to get to a decent level and be accepted by the other players on the server, and it can be a grind, but once you get there its awsome.
I have played on both private and official servers and it is without doute the best online game I have ever played...

Lineage2 is not dialup friendly
I have played this game and I say it's OK. Easy gameplay, nice graphics, not a bad system. Runs ok on dialup. Read more
