Great, natural product. My hair loves it. After using, hair is shiny and soft, and colour is beutiful. I keep henna on the hair 3 hours at least and prepare the henna mix of at least 10 hours in advance. It is good to add to the mix of lemon juice and pour water at about 70-80 degrees.

I have been hennaing my hair for 37 years! I love the colour, shine and condition it gives. When my hair was all dark, it took several sessions initially for the colour to show. Now that I have a degree of greying, the grey/white hairs come out orange, so I have orange highlights which I like.

I have only used this particular henna once, and it was mixed with what was left of my previous henna, but the results seemed the same as before: colour, shine and condition - and it smells the same. (I love the smell of henna but not everyone does.)

My routine is to do it once every one to two months, to start with a straightforward wash, then make a henna paste with hot water, plaster it over my wet hair, cover it with a bathing cap or shower cap, then some scarves and a woolly hat, leave it for three hours and wash the henna out.

Is it worth it? Yes!

I'm quite disappointed. It isn't really powdered properly it's more like a grinded herbs. I washed my hair for nearly an hour and it was so hard to take it out. It didn't developed any colour in the countainer where I mixed it with water and I'm a henna user more than 3 years now so I have some experience with henna. My grey hair got some yellowish shine but that is it. I think I'll go back to my original seller and buy from him again because this henna (if it is a pure henna ???) not worth it the money. Never buy again from this seller.

I have used this two times before and it has given me great results. I have really long silky and naturally dark blonde with a hint of red notes, so when this henna has worked in my hair for almost 20 min on my roots (if already colored once) and 1h in the rest of my hair, it does wonders! My hair is beautifully copper with shades of auburn. It also helps to treat long and brittled hair.

My henna lix that I got from http://www.hennapage.com/henna/how/sour.html:

200-250 g henna (always mix more, to be on the safe side, if you have left overs, put your henna in a zip-lock bag ans store in freezer).
1/2 cup lemon juice (Sourness is great! it makes the henna release its dye. You can use: lemon, lime, grape, rainwater, tamarind, vinegar...If it degrades the cellulose enough that the hennotannic acid is released from the plant cells .... it's good).
1/4 cup water (this you can add to neutralize a little bit, but not to much).

Have fun!

I have always dyed my hair chemically and it was ruined. Since I've tried this, I would never use chemical again. It makes my hair stronger, shinier and the colour is multi-tonal but even. My hair had several different colours in it and no chemical dye would even it out, but this worked straight away. Not as easy as premixed dyes but it's worth the mess! I recommend washing it out with conditioner to save time too.

Great product; I use it to colour my greys.
A bonus - the henna has been sifted to remove all the twig like bits that I get in the henna that I buy from my usual supplier.
Will be buying again.

I've applied this henna at least half a dozen times so far. It has given me great results each time. I've found leaving in for 6 hours produces a much deeper richer tone than when left on for 4 hours. Mix with lemon juice, water, spoonful of sugar and argan oil and I get a super smooth consistency using an electric whisk. It's really easy to apply with minimum mess :)

When combined with henna and some salt, I find that the dark brown colour it creates lasts far longer than Lush's henna bars. Very good.
