About The Author
Neil Bowman first and foremost is a father of one, godfather to nine, friend and family member to many many more. Since starting work at seventeen he has had at least three careers, worked on three continents and run at least four businesses. He has in the last ten years obtained a BA in Politics, a Masters Degree in Diplomacy and is the owner of a (his own) Mensa Certificate, none of which in any way qualifies him to write his book, Happiness: 5 Simple Life-Changing Steps.
Neil has always been a keen student of philosophy and believes strongly in self-reflection. Over the past 20 or more years he has been a coach, mentor and adviser to hundreds of people of all ages undertaking well over a thousand hours of coaching, advising and support time. Most of all however, he has been a coach to himself. None of which, strictly speaking, qualifies him to write his 'Happiness' book either.
In those several thousands of conversations, a common set of ideas and thoughts raised themselves time and again. Not only did some particular ideas really come to stand out in their own right but they also began to form a clear structure that if applied systematically could dramatically enhance a person's life. It eventually became very clear to Neil it was important he got his thoughts down on paper in order to make them easier to share with others.
The Birthday Book
With regard the Birthday Books as mentioned above, trying to keep track of his myriad of younger god-children, children of friends and also younger family members, he found there was a significant gap in the market and so, in 2006 he designed and manufactured The Birthday Book.
