5.0 out of 5 stars absorbing 2 July 2012

As a fan of the tv show supernatural I buy a few books with ties to the show, this book is a more comprehensive look behind the myths of the show. From the bible and other religious sources the author brings a learned look at the subjects.(Nearly making me a believer)

5.0 out of 5 stars A really interesting read 26 Sep 2011
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
"The Mythology of Supernatural" is a great tie-in to the series, focusing on a variety of myths featured in the series such as angels and demons. Like the series itself, the book also features non-Western myths, such as from India. My favourite section of the book is the section on Lilith, a figure almost seemingly ignored by Christianity.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very interesting background information 1 Dec 2012

Watching Supernatural and the developing story arcs left me wanting more information on demons, angels & the apocolypse and this is a very handy, easy to read book that provides just that.

I love the show and this was a great book for anyone who wants to know a little bit more about what the Winchesters are up against. There were a few minor errors and at times I could have done with a little more detail but it was easy to read and fascinating!

4.0 out of 5 stars An interesting read 4 Sep 2012
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
Aside from one glaring error (listing Crowley as being in the season 2 episode 'Born Under a Bad Sign' when Crowley doesn't show up till several seasons later) the book is actually a good read. It is full of interesting insight into the mythology and symbolism in the show. It gives the reader more detail about the stories, the myths behind them and where they fit into the 'Supernatural' world.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant!! 16 Dec 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
I've just finished the first chapter, and I think it's well worth the amount I paid for it already. The language used makes it an easier read than some other books. Buy it!!
