Product Description

Product Description

John Black, pseudo-famous economics journalist, decides to make the ultimate sacrifice in his ongoing battle with the opposite sex. Tired of being a 'plus one', he ends his nine-year relationship with his girlfriend, Lola, in order to reclaim his masculinity. However, John discovers that single life involves nothing more liberating than sitting around in his pants watching repeats of Top Gear. And when Lola begins to revel in her own freedom, John realises that everything he thought he knew about women - and himself - is a myth. The Myth of Supply and Demand is an economedy in which men strike back.

Meeting Demand 26 Aug 2010

Funny, original and so true. I ended up reading this book in one sitting unable to put it down. The main character, John Black, is believable and his observations are witty and head noddingly on target.
If you've ever thought the grass would be greener this book will show you the truth behind the myth, and leave you with a smile on your face.
This is definitely one you'll be reading again and again.

I have been following the success of this author since the 'You Write On' Website and winning 'The Best Book of The Year'. At last this book is published and available, I have read sample chapters and I have to say it sounds fantastic I can't wait to read it again, in paperback! This lead character has many great observations.

When I first started reading this book, I was a bit cautious as I did not know what to expect, but what a fabulous book from start to end. The main character John, I hated but by the end I came to love him and I am so gonna miss him and Lola.

The book makes you laugh, cry, go insane, it's one of those books that once you start reading you can not stop - I absolutely loved it.

How long do I have to wait for the sequel? I do not know but if it is as good as this one - well I can not wait and I will pre-order now if I could.

Michelle Keill is a new author but she has the makings of becoming a great author with her way of words and how she draws you in to the characters and making you want so much more.
