Yet, even another CD release by the beloved Japanese space-rock noise merchants, we all know as Acid Mothers Temple. Four lengthy tracks here that clock in between the 14 to 20 minute mark. Can your already damaged brain handle it? "The Man From Giacobinid Meteor Comet" is your typical mind-boggling psychedelic freak out that AMT are known for; after fifteen minutes, some rather fine sitar playing takes over. "Five Dimensional Nightmare" is more sedate with some mystical flute work - just as trippy as the opening cut. The powerful "Love Electrique" more or less continues to where the first track left off, employing some high-pitched vocals. "Pink Lady Lemonade" is, I assume an unreleased version of this AMT concert stample. Twenty full minutes of sonic space whispers provided by the new Acid Mothers member, girl vocalist Kitagawa Hao. Great job of filling in for the departed Casino Cotton. Question: how many CD's do Acid mothers Temply have out? Simply, a M-U-S-T have.

Splendid 5 Nov 2008
Format:Audio CD
Really loved this album (and the sleeve :-) ! )

Some excellent guitar noodling and sonic mayhem as per usual, but with something a little extra

Japanese space rock nutcases unleash yet another musical acid tab 31 Jan 2007
By D. Hamilton-Smith - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
The amazing cosmic cowboys of the east return with yet another new album, and it's fantastic as is relentlessly usual. In fact, it's probably one of their more essential pieces of work. `The Man From Giacobinid...' is pretty much the Acid Mothers blueprint, with the tempo revved up and Kawabata and his ever-present knob-twiddler Higashi trading whizzes and swoops and huge arching sweeps of sound. It rocks out for fifteen minutes with their trademark freewheeling abandon before petering out, then comes their flipside: the drone-outs. Some of their previous work in this field is a little ponderous, but not on `Myth Of The Love Electrique'. Here it's as layered and deep and compelling as ever.

And that's the reason this album is among their best. Whether it's the storming slow jam of the (almost) title track or the blissed-out latest version of the classic `Pink Lady Lemonade', there's not a moment on this 75-minute disc when the listener is even considering turning it off or skipping track. There's no sharp turns, no abrasiveness, nothing too musically complex - but it commands the attention to the last. Its huge and spacey production and rich exotic instrumentation create a unique atmosphere that cannot be turned off. Not all AMT albums have this quality, but most do. That's what makes them an essential item in the 21st century psych-rock fan's collection.

Acid Mothers Temple - 'Myth Of The Love Electrique' (Riot Season) 2 Feb 2007

Yet, even another CD release by the beloved Japanese space-rock noise merchants, we know as Acid Mothers Temple. Four lengthy tracks here that clock in between the 14 to 20 minute mark. Can your glue sniffing brain handle it? "The Man From Giacobinid Meteor Comet" is your typical mind-boggling psychedelic freak-out they're SO known for; after fifteen minutes, some rather fine sitar takes over. "Five Dimensional Nightmare" is more sedate with some mystical flute work, just as trippy as the opening cut. The powerful "Love Electrique" more or less continues at where the first tune left off, employing high-pitched vocals. "Pink Lady Lemonade" is, I assume an unreleased version of this AMT concert staple. Twenty minutes of sonic space whispers provided by new ATM member, girl vocalist Kitagawa Hao. Great job of filling in for the departed Cotton Casino. One thing I'd like to know, HOW many CD's do Acid Mothers actually have out? Also, when do they sleep? Essential listening, to say the least.
