Product Description

Irish comedy that follows closely in the footsteps of the 1998 surprise hit 'Waking Ned'. Dave (David Kelly, who also starred in 'Waking Ned') and Locky (Milo O'Shea) have hit on a seemingly infallible money-making scam, offering solace to the bereaved and a much-needed cash injection into their own pockets. Dave poses as a medium who is in touch with 'the other side', while Locky works in the background relaying messages from the deceased. It's easy money until a local Irish mafia boss is killed and his wife Foxy (Maria Doyle Kennedy) asks Dave and Locky to communicate with her dead husband and ask him to tell her where he hid his last haul. If they don't get it right, it looks as if Dave and Locky won't have much longer to communicate with the living - never mind the dead!

4.0 out of 5 stars Is there anybody there? 27 Feb 2013
Format:DVD
A couple of old rogue ex-theatricals supplement their pensions by performing séances for the bereaved. Working together they dupe the unsuspecting, until one day the unexpected happens. The spirit of 'Larry' the local crime lord decides to communicate. (Ever seen Ghost!), anyway what follows is a reasonably light-hearted crime capper where Larry passes on his final job worth $6 million dollars to his family, however his arch-enemy and the police vie to get their hands on it as well. Overall, it's not bad, easy to watch and has some funny comedic moments.

Bought this film on the spur of the moment whilst looking at others. It turned out to be a nice film. Quite funny with a decent enough storyline.
