Format:Audio CD
I heard this CD playing as background music in a store and immediately asked the assistant what or who it was. I bought it the same day! Lesiem have mixed together Gregorian chants with tight, clean synth chords and melodies, electric guitars, funky bass and excellent drum arrangements. The songs range from the martial-sounding "Fundamentum" with deep throaty basses and kettle drums, to the trip-pop "Miracle Eyes" sung (partly) in English. From their website it appears as if their next big thing is a collaboration with Maggie Reilly ("Moonlight Shadow", "Foreign Affair" both with Mike Oldfield) and they've signed up with Sony records. Watch these guys...they may be on your radio any day now. I sincerely hope so! My only criticism is that not all the songs are of the same stunning, inspiring quality - some are merely very very good.

12 well written pieces of music and sungs songs. A mix of Enigma meeting Pink Floyd. A must for those who like Enigma, this is my favourite album. I found this group when looking for other artists like Engima and had to have this album. I wish my local radio station would play music from groups like Lesiem, Sleepthief and Engima, too many people are missing out on real talent.

Chant with modern beats with guitars, keyboards, drums, wind instruments, sung and spoken lyrics and more....
Some songs are in English, others not (but translations can be found on-line), some lyrics can be quite thought provoking like the spoken words of the song Floreat. Fundamentum is one of my favourites and Indalo to name a couple. The all too short MP3 samples do not fully do this album justice. So if you like the samples, you'll more than likely love the album.
