Daisy Araujo (Julia Roberts) spends the summer following graduation working at a pizza parlour in her home town, sharing her hopes and dreams with sister Kat (Annabeth Gish) and best friend Jojo (Lili Taylor). Kat is university-bound until she falls for a married man; Jojo is unable to commit to her long-term boyfriend despite his urging her to marry him; while Daisy's plans are put on hold when she begins a relationship with Charles, a boy from the rich side of the tracks. Together the three of them try to sort out their problems.

It's one of those 'snapshot of life' films where you love it, but you're not sure why!
Despite this film being such an early example of some great work by the cast, the acting is wonderful and the film itself, a very 'feel good' alternative to all the other films of a less idealistic genre in the late 80's.
Best watched on a rainy day with a barrel of biscuits!

One of Julia Roberts' first films and certainly not one to be missed. As the title of the film suggests, the film is about pizza and is set in ¨Mystic¨ a small town in America. You rapidly get to know all the characters and their many problems which adds to the charisma of this film. The only downer is that you never find out the secret recipe for the pizza! Appeals to both sexes- even my brother liked it!! Definitely one for the collection...

A good girlie feelgood movie if you needed one. (Although it is starting to look rather 1980's in places now!) A lot of fun to watch - Get a pizza and a bottle of wine, invite your girlfriends round and enjoy a night in reminiscing about times gone by.

Funny and warm
As I simply love to watch Julia Roberts ever since "Pretty Woman" I enjoyed this story and have kept it for re-wiewing, but up to the level of Pretty it does'nt come.

Feel good movie
A lovely feel good girlie movie for a Sunday afternoon. I first saw Mystic Pizza on television some years ago and ejoyed it back then. Perfect romantic light entertainment.
