Overnight whilst the fairies slept, a mysterious envelope was left attached to the door of the tree where the fairies lived... Inside there is an invite to all for an event at sunset that very same day - but leaves no clue on whose event it is. Soon, fairies find notes attached to various objects requesting gifts that they should bring to this event but they're too busy doing their day-to-day work to put much work into gifts at such short notice...

But what happens at sunset? Do the fairies manage to provide any gifts at short notice? You better buy the book to find out...

So why does Amazon call this book "Mysterious Messages WITH OTHER"? Well it's the "other" that makes this more unusual than the normal Disney Fairies books. Embedded on the various pages are, for example, a copy of the mysterious envelope complete with the invite, shiny print on the metallic objects, beads on the water and even a couple of pop-ups.

I'm not sure how long this book will keep the youngsters amused but its doing its job at the moment!

Even when it was a usedbook it came to me like a brand new one. & my daughter loves it to. It didn't come when they said it would but it did come good as new tho.

Book Review 12 Mar. 2007

Overall, worth the purchase. Based on the description given for this item, I expected it to be more interactive; wherein the child would be able to decipher clues throughout the book. Instead it was just a written story. My daughter (who is 11) loved it anyway for the story and the vivid/colorful illustrations.

I got this for my daughter when she turned five. She likes the interactive parts of the book. It is bright and beautifully illustrated like the rest of the Disney Fairies books.

Great Book! 15 May 2007

This is another in the Disney Fairy series. My seven year old loves these books!
Pretty pictures, simple storyline 16 Oct. 2009

The illustrations were very colourful and detailed. But I thought the storyline was too simplistic - not much of a 'mystery'. The 'interactive' part was also rather basic - it wasn't interesting enough to engage my 6 yr old for long.
