I bought this album on download today though I have listened to the CD version extensively.
1. The price in most cases iTunes cannot even hope to compete with these prices.
2. The Cloud Player app looks nice on my iPad and plays my iTunes music as well.
1. Sound Quality -
(I like to feel like I'm wrapped up in the sound, like I exist in the music listening to all its layers (weird I know) but as such I am a fussy person. So that said on to my opinion of the sound quality here -)
Firstly it's your standard MP3 fare which to me has always sounded flat lacking frequency range, as such I cannot consider listening to the music as an immersive experience.
There is nothing wrong with the sound you can hear, but it is clearly overly compressed.
In comparison iTunes MP4 format is quite a bit better, and both fail compared to 16 bit CD Audio.
I used BOSE AE2 Headphones for my listening from my iPad, this combination is by no means a suitable testing area, but if I can hear the difference than there is no need to move on to better equipment, to review.
Albums pretty good by the way :)
