Mycil Powder contains two highly effective ingredients to treat and prevent athlete's foot:
Firstly, an antifungal that kills the fungi responsible for athlete's foot and similar skin conditions such as dhobie itch. Secondly, a powerful antiseptic effective against a wide range of bacteria which are often present with athlete's foot. Mycil Powder can also be used to treat conditions such as prickly heat and tenderness due to excessive perspiration.

If symptoms persist, or worsen, or if anything unusual happens, stop using the product and consult your doctor or pharmacist. Do not use if allergic to any of the ingredients. Do not use after the expiry date. For external use only. Warning Keep all medicines out of reach of children. Regular use of the powder can help prevent reinfection. For best results use Mycil powder in conjunction with Mycil ointment.

The Mycil brand seems the most effective for my infection but I don't see it in the shops these days.One advantage of the powder form is that it gets into my socks and shoes. I belive that this helps to stop the infection spreading. Before I think I got reinfected from old shoes.
For nail infection I find that Tea Tree oil seems to soak in and stop the infection. Continue the washing and treatment daily until all the infection has grown out. This can take a year for nails.

For some reason this seems to be unavailable on the majority of sites now - and those that do have it seem to be asking for a prescription!?!? Would love to know why, and hope this is only a temporary issue as this stuff is brilliant- not only for athletes foot but for any sort of sweat rash or irritation - and it doesn't smell bad, either! (In fact I haven't really noticed that it smells of anything much!) For sweat rashes I find that a single application has been enough to get rid of any soreness or irritation, drying up and soothing the problem area almost immediately - I would hate to be without it in my first-aid kit! :(

Mycil powder is good - it works for me anyway. I used to use it anywhere fungal infections could quietly creep in and in a few days they were so much better. But now I use it daily and haven't had a real flare-up for months. I have tried another powder with a similar name but it had such a horrid smell that I threw it away. They say that 'prevention is better than cure' so carry on selling it Amazon as it doesn't seem available now in any shops.
