Ultimately any compilation CD of Frank Sinatra is going to contain some not so good recordings, however, for the price and for some of the little gems included, it is certainly a CD worth buying.
It contains the best arrangement of 'I get a kick out of you', by Neal Hefti, that I have heard, and although there aren't any recordings from the 50's, there are 13 songs arranged by Nelson Riddle. For those people who have not heard Frank sing the Nelson Riddle arrangements, then this is a very good start.
Of the new stuff, I was surprised at the version of 'Yesterday'. The arrangment by Don Costa is beautiful. Very different from the original.
If you have many Sinatra recordings, like me, you will find one or two little gems. If Frank is new to you then this is a good starting block.
