Time.
An exquisite word with so many, many variations of meaning. Said by society's affluent, said by society's impoverished.
But when a fifteen year old boy fixates on it, relishing questions pertaining to it, it becomes the focus of this book.
This young boy has a horrible disease, one he will not live through, and therefore his questioning of God, Time, and Samantha, a dead friend he talks to.
Who is Samantha, in reality? Who is the young boy's Aunt Shirley? For none of these characters seem alive, somehow. Or are my suppositions wrong?
A well-worded story, laden with youth's way of speaking...oh duh!
"The Confederacy of Dunces" came to mind here and there.
Well worth the read!
