Product Description

Product Description

Sorrento is renowned for its coastline, restaurants and historic centre.

But with so many different monuments, historical sights, restaurants, shops bars and nightlife to see, how can you make sure that you experience the best of everything Sorrento has to offer?

The 'My Top Five' series gives you the background and history on a city’s ‘must-see’ attractions, so that you can make the most of your trip. It also includes essential information, such as opening times and location.

However, each chapter gives you more than just the basics of the city's attractions, diving below the surface to lift the lid on some of the less well-known attractions, and helping you to discover the hidden Sorrento.

And of course, we don’t fill endless pages with hard-to-read maps and difficult-to-download photos; there are five chapters of text, one on each attraction, all written by our team of experienced travel writers.

This book was first published as the 'Postcards From' series.

Postcards From Florence by Josh White is a very good book about what you should see while visiting Florence. The author crafts a very nice roadmap of Sorrento for you to review before traveling to the area. This book can almost be considered a guide to Sorrento. I have always wanted to visits Sorrento and this guide/book makes me want to visit it even more.

The books is pretty complete for only being 23 pages long. I especially liked the parts where author breaks down the best restaurants to eat at and where are the best places to stay within Sorrento. I would definitely recommend this book.

Thank you for reading my review.

4.0 out of 5 stars Content was great but needs serious editing.. 4/5 1 Dec 2013

If grammar and punctuation errors bother you, and prevent you from grasping the text then this book is not for you. If you are looking for places to travel, off the beaten path, then this is a good e-book to read over. I'm not convinced that the writer has ever been to the places he writes about, sometimes its seems as though he has and sometimes it sounds like a verse researched on Wiki, but either way there are in fact good bits of information in here. So as far as content 4 stars, but as a writer myself, I cant go 5 because of the editing..... Good luck on the series and find a good editor :-)

5.0 out of 5 stars Sorrento...the majestic small town in Southern Italy 30 Nov 2013

Postcards from Sorrento is a little gem of a handbook. It's a must have for any would be travelers wanting to find out where the best places to eat, stay, tour, or go out are in the majestic town of Sorrento, located in Southern Italy. Within its pages, it has something for every type of tourist (adventurous vs. laid back), any age group (nightlife for the younger crowd vs. festivals and romantic terraces for people like me!) or for any budget. I like the fact that where possible prices are listed and there are little tidbits throughout that recommend places that offer meal options that are gluten free. Definitely worth a read.
