Beautiful book about a beautiful lady and her struggle to create beautiful long lasting music. Everyone who's life was touched by Tammi felt the effects throughout their life and many share their experiences within these pages. She is still touching people through her music and I am sure that is what interests so many people in her life today. The book is insightful not only of Tammi's life but also the early days of Motown. Much has been said and printed about Tammi's life some of it very hurtful for her family. Her sister Ludie does cover these aspects of Tammi's life and does not try to paint Tammi as a saint. Tammi's struggles make most people's problems appear small. A great read uplifting, humbling, sad but also a celebration of huge achievements in such a short life.
