Being a Wakefield girl, the Yorkshire lass in me spied this kindle gem one day, and I now have the paperback too. I am not the least bit sporty, I don't really like rugby either, but I could not put this book down. Dave and Dean tell their fascinating story with modesty and truth, and it is utterly compelling. Dave has a new book coming out shortly, and I shall certainly be snapping that one up too. A fab read.

This book is a quality read for any Rugby League fan whatever your shirt. A great look at the rollercoaster career, life & tribulations of one of the sports true characters. A player who wore his heart on his sleeve & will definitely be remembered through the sands of time.
As a die-hard Cas' fan between '88 - '95 (missing just a handful of games). I have had the honour & privilege to watch this highly skilled forward strut his stuff in every corner of the RL land. I highly recommend this book, enjoyed every page & aspect of his life. I can't thank Diesel enough for taking me back to some great times, following a great team, full off outstanding players.
Such great memories, all the Yorkshire Cup Finals, Wembley in '92 & the famous cull of the mighty Wigan in the Regal Trophy Final in '94. I was there & loved my journey with Diesel & the boys. Good times indeed. Dean will always be part of Castleford folklore, that's a defo'.
R.I.P. St John Ellis, Dave Nelson & Mal' Sampson.
