Great Fiction,

Generally when I've read a book by one author, no matter how good, I don't waste time reading the next. Publishers just want the formula repeated, they lack the imagination or perhaps the authors do. Penelope Evans has that missing spark and has produced something different. I stayed up all night to read the Last Girl and again had to finish My Perfect Silence. Both so well written, I wonder how this author goes unrecognised.

Tense, funny and sad all at once. A wonderful novel in which love and trust are questioned and powerful suspicions are voiced. A gripping novel with plenty of suspence and tension to keep you turning the pages.

Having only recently discovered Penelope Evans I was not disappointed with this story. The characters are so believable - You never know what goes on behind other people's front doors. The bond between brother and sister comes across very strongly. I won't give any of the story away except to say that if you haven't read any of Penelope Evans then this is a good place to start followed by 'A Fatal Reunion' which is also a very good read. Can't wait to get stuck into 'Freezing.'
