This is a lovely collection of My Naughty Little Sister stories featuring all the favourites like 'The Naughtiest Story Of All' and many escapades with Bad Harry. Stunningly illustrated in colour by the fabulous Shirley Hughes it is the perfect book to share with young children at bedtime. Even though the stories were written over 50 years ago they have a timeless quality and the escapades of the children while very innocent compared to say, Horrid Henry, still keep the smalls entranced. My son, who is seven adores these stories especially the one where the naughty liitle sister and Bad Harry eat all of the birthday trifle before the guests arrive. Shirley Hughes's illustrations, as usual, are right on the button reflecting the world perfectly from a child's point of view. As a bonus this edition comes in a slipcase which not only protects the book but elevates it to 'ideal gift status'.

I remember these stories from when I was a child, and loved them, so decided to buy this book for my four year old daughter for Christmas. She absolutely loves this book and there hasn't been a night since Christmas where I've read anything else to her. I'm now having to buy a copy for her friend for her birthday. The stories are the right length for night-time reading and even though there isn't a picture on every page the narrative is such that it holds the attention of my four year old, which isn't easy! The stories coupled with the beautiful pictures make this the perfect book for a little girl.

I remember these stories from when I was a child so imagine my delight when I found them for my four year old daughter. She loves them too! Real old school stories, wonderfully written and illustrated. Am sure I am a little biased but would definitely recommend them. We can while away at least half and hour at bedtime reading this book - not always a good thing but I get so engrossed I just keep on reading.
