Book Description

1 Jan 2012
O has two tasks tonight. The first is to break into the Bank of England. Easy. Well, easy compared to the second - to challenge the shadowy presences who rule the world. Clever fantasy for teens.

More About the Author

Hi! I'm Sam Enthoven. I was born in 1974, I live in London, England and I write fantastical action thrillers aimed at eleven to fifteen year olds. For ten years I worked part-time in a bookshop on London's Charing Cross Road, helping people to find the most thrilling books in the world while chasing my dreams of becoming a published author myself. In 2006 that dream came true with my debut novel, "The Black Tattoo." My follow-up (but /not/ a sequel) "Tim, Defender of the Earth" was shortlisted for the 2008 Waterstone's Children's Book Prize. My latest, a superfast, supertense survival horror novel called "Crawlers" has just been published as I'm typing this (April 2010). My sinister masterplan continues: MOO HOO HA HA! erm, sorry. 5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic!! 20 Oct 2012
By Laura
Another great story from Sam Enthoven! This is a little gem. Full of suspense and excitement with a fun sci-fi/secret spy theme.

The reason this book may seem very different to Sam's other stories is that it is a Barrington Stoke novel. Barrington Stoke is a fantastic company specialised in publishing books for dyslexic readers. This means it is considerably shorter and simpler than other novels for this age group.

I'd definitely recommend this to younger readers or teens with a slightly lower reading age. It's also a great introduction for reluctant readers as it's a fun short story, meaning it's not overwhelming to the reader and provides immediate gratification.

Great job! :D keep it up, Sam!

This is a good book for those who find reading difficult but are quite older and want a more challenging book.

1.0 out of 5 stars my name is O 10 Mar 2012
My young son (12 years)loves reading Sam Enthoven, his other novels, TIM,BLACK TATTOO & CRAWLERS have been fantastic compelling reading for him. MY NAME IS O, is utter rubbish, it lacks any sort of story, it's dull, weak and lame and, is in a word, BORING!!!
Come on Sam, do better!!
