A simple but lovely book perfect for younger children with short attention spans.
The illustrations are large, funny and are good for further discussion with older children.
The text on each page is brief and covers why mum's the best. As the text is simple and the sentences are short its ideal for older children to read by themselves, perhaps to a sibling, but may not be ideal for older children as a bedtime story as its too short.
I would recommend this book to others and I think it would be a lovely gift for mothers day.

This is a book for little ones which, as the title suggests, has the message that 'my mum is the best'. It's very simple with little text, and lots of cute pictures of the mummy hippo and her baby. My son loves books but really wasn't taken by this one. I don't think he could really relate to it so has only wanted to read it once or twice. There's nothing wrong with it, it's just not very exciting. A nice message though.

This is a lovely book - not a biased Mum talking!!
The text within the book is brief - just sentences listing different reasons as to why Mums are the best. The best thing about the book are the lovely animal themed pictures.
Each love reason accompanies a picture of a Mum animal and their baby - all beautifully illustrated.
My little boy loves looking at the pictures and has read this several times already.

Helping a toddler to read
Lovely illustrations, and the short easy to read text will certainly help a toddler who is learning to read. It's probably too simple otherwise for an adult to read to a child.

That's Mother's Day Sorted!
