This book is the best! It's not only my daughter's favorite, but I have a copy for myself as well. It's a great way to introduce a child to the life of colours. The illustrations are gorgeous and the text is wonderful for reading aloud.

We love talking about the colors and the way that you feel on some days and that it is OK to have a purple day or a black day or even a gray day when you don't want to do anything. Because we know that there will also be pink, and orange and yellow days to follow. Sometimes, without the book, we talk about what color day we are having.

My Many Colored Days -
I feel it's a great book to help children deal with their feelings without expressly saying what the emotion is. Kids may relate better to the colors than the actual moods because they may not understand the emotion and what it means. Instead, they can relate to the actions of the book and the colors the book uses to describe the emotion.
