About the Author

Tony Ross was born in London and trained at the Liverpool School of Art. He has worked as a cartoonist, graphic designer, and art director of an advertising agency. He is now considered to be one of the finest children's illustrators in the country - he won the German Children's Book Prize for I'm Coming to Get You. Dr Xargle's Book of Earth Tiggers was shortlisted for the Kate Greenaway Medal and Tadpole's Promise won the Silver medal in the Smarties Prize 2003. He was the British choice for the Andersen Medal 2004.

My daughter got this set for christmas, and hasnt put it down yet! She is 2, and knows the stories pretty much off by heart. The stories are good, they are quite light hearted and entertaining, and theres not too much text either, so she doesnt get bored with any of the stories (and we read them time and time again). The pictures are good too, as my daughter describes whats going on in the pictures while i am reading the story. All in all, i think they are a brilliant set of books.

The books were bought as a gift. The pictures are lovely and catch the childs imagination. A great buy and good value.

Bought this set for our 2 year old and she absolutely loves them, even carrying the box around with her. She especially loves us reading her one of these at bedtime.
Simple stories but with nice pictures and just long enough so that she doesn't lose concentration.
