Within two weeks of owning this item, I had essentially given up on it. Problems arose pretty much immediately with the interchangable jack: the lead and the interchangeable head come apart far too easily, meaning it's very hard to move the laptop around without the power cutting out (not a problem if you've got a tip-top battery, I suppose... but then that's not the point is it?). More annoying is that in the space of, ooh... the last week? the power randomly cuts out even when the lead is firmly plugged into the back of the laptop. This leads to a frustrating five-ten minutes of the "power lead dance", as the user (me) tries to get the lead into *exactly the right position* in order to get the bloody thing working again. Throw in packaging covered in shoddy spelling, and an incredibly lightweight, disposable-feeling power pack and you've got the perfect product. In Bizarro World.

Shoddy, shoddy rubbish - avoid like the plague.

This power supply is easy to set up and use. It is cheap and that is reflected in the feel though it seems robust enough. There is an adapter that fits quite firmly on the end of the low voltage lead to suit many laptops but the two together stick a long way out of the back. If you want to keep it close to a wall you will probably want a different charger.
The combined length of the mains and the low voltage leads is quite short. They are not much more than half the length of the originals, the most obvious sign of the low price.
I've given 4 stars because this charger is very good value for money but don't expect the best design.
