Format:Hardcover
Oskar traces his life's journey from childhood, through his artistic travels and on to his fateful meeting with Alma Mahler and their tumultuous affair which he labels 'this ordeal of love'.Truly she was his 'Bride of the Wind'the painting that perhaps sums up the life of this talented playright, painter, poet. He explains the doll-like effigy he made of this love.. his 'image of spent love' ,his 'Woman in Blue'.This significant autobiography concludes with a learned postscript critique by Remigus Nezter which places Kokoschka in the context of his many famous contempories.
