I really enjoyed reading the autobiography of Fred Titmus, who was a key member of the Middlesex team for so many years, and a stalwart for England. It is full of interesting stories and humorous anecdotes about his life (both the ups and downs).
He is a man who has spent his whole working life in the game of cricket, and thus is well qualified to tell us about it.
I saw him play many times in the 60s, when as a schoolboy you were allowed into Lords free after tea!
This book is thoroughly recommended reading on a cold dark winter night (or for that matter, on a lovely summer day during the lunch break at the cricket ground!).
