Madhur Jaffrey's recipes always work for me and this book allows dishes to be prepared more quickly. The book is excellent but I do feel some of the recipes are not quite as distinctive as Madhur's more traditional cooking.

All the recipes I have tried so far worked well with good, clear instructions.
One per page with a good photo on the facing page. Most, but not all, are simple.
Nothing fancy just sound quick curries for a midweek meal, assuming you know your way round an onion. Good book for a curry neophyte and excellent price form Amazon.

This a really good recipe book. I bought it for my partner at Christmas because we are always in need of quick midweek meals and we are both curry lovers. We have tried several of the recipes already and they are indeed quick and easy to prepare. What is also brilliant is that the ingredients are all easy to obtain and the recipes use only quite simple spice combinations - none of the complicated pastes and powders that often feature in curry books! I would highly recommend this little book - a very practical addition to the recipe shelf.
