The sequence where George drops off the slightly injured George W. Bush at a hospital when George is summoned to take care of a natural disaster remains one of my favorite Dubya jokes. The hospital decides this man claiming to be president of the U.S. must be a looney. TV reporter queries how they felt when they learned he actually was President. Nurse shrugs: "Well, anyone who'd veto the Kyoto Agreement MUST be a looney..."
Also, the sequence about how the British love horses so much they would never eat them, and George, stranger to earth, points out that even so, they chop them up and feed them to their dogs. Ouch!
The insertion of a stranger into a culture we know too well, allowing such fresh views, is a common feature of great satire. Add total silliness in the finest UK manner and some wonderful performers, and My Hero guarantees a many hours of fun.
