Comedies in the USA really suck lately and Thermoman in My Hero is hilarious breath of fresh air. A real winner. It doesn't take itself seriously and it works. Go Thermoman!!!!

Kids love it 12 May 2005

Give or take the odd sexual reference, this is perfect children's viewing. Goodness knows why it's pitched at adults - my 5 ad 9 year olds love it but it has very much their level of humour.

I brought this video because it stars Father Ted's Father Dougal Ardal O'hanlon as a super hero called Thermoman. I didn't really know what to expect and frankly I wasn't impressed. I watched the first two episodes and I thought to myself this is rubbish but then I allowed myself to watch Episode 3 which is called Pet Rescue and is about George/Thermoman getting a device that enables him to communicate with dogs, I enjoyed it so I watched Episode 4 which was also good. By the time you've watched three or four episodes you realise that it isn't too bad after all and you find you are beginning to get to know the characters especially the hilarious talking baby who can fly and breathe fire! Good but not great. Family fun for all but I don't think it's worth buying even if there is ten episodes up for grabs!
