Product Description

Product Description

What's in a name? A few vowels and some consonants - or a whole new identity just waiting to burst free? In "My Gonads Roar", expert wordsmith Richard Napier rearranges hundreds of famous names to create a parallel universe - like the world we know, but funnier, ruder, and much more vitriolic. It's a place where Jeremy Clarkson ("Only Cars Jerk Me"), Britney Spears ("Best PR in Years"), Gordon Ramsay ("My Gonads Roar") and even Princess Anne ("Nice Spanners") appear as you have never seen them before. (Sorry, Princess Anne...).

About the Author

Richard Napier has worked in the media industry for over 20 years, working with Reed International, Procter & Gamble and Sky among many others. He has been a compulsive anagrammatist since childhood.

5.0 out of 5 stars Grumpy old men crossed with Countdown!!, 10 Nov 2008
By Jezzy Jen (Portsmouth, UK) - See all my reviews
For anyone who laughs when a rude word comes up in Countdown, or even if you don't watch Countdown!!, this book is for you.

The author has written a very funny book about anagrams - I've checked some of them cos I couldn't believe they were true and they're real!

I've joined his Facebook group now as well - the secret world of anagrams and he's doen one of my name!

4.0 out of 5 stars His Gonads Roared too, 29 Mar 2009
I bought this book as a gift for a friend who is an avid reader of just about anything; and has a good sense of irony.

He loved it and thoroughly enjoyed dipping into it.
