This book is great if you're making a big change. I've got to make a big decision and it's helped me to think more logically and productively about how I move forward. The charcaters illustrate life experiences and emotions and you'll see a bit of yourself in each one. You'll finish the book determined not to be Stubbo! Love the iluustrations too.

This book is brilliant and has been really helpful to me. I am experiencing really big changes both at work and at home and this book was recommended to me. I read it and immediately realised I could embrace the change rather than be afraid of it. I had been stressing about things but My Fires's Gone Out helped me to not only get things into perspective but to actually feel excited about the new things that are about to happen. I've read it twice now, bought an extra copy for a family member who is also experiencing change and passed it on to a friend! Definitely read this book, it's very positive and uplifting.

My Fire's Gone Out! 9 Aug 2010
Format:Paperback
A great little book. It's in a simple style and easily read - I knocked off the whole book in a couple of family interrupted hours, which isn't to say it is simplistic: far from it. It is actually a profound book on a topic that challenges all of us more than once in life. The chapters are short and snappy, such is the layout of the book that there is plenty of space to jot down your own thoughts on the pages, if like me you dare do such things, and the illustrations help to move it along. The parable style of the book made me think about changes in life facing me, in a way the many "How to Cope with ... " books have never held my attention. The four little characters definitely caused me to stop and think - which is me? Buy it, read it, even if you're not facing changes (that you recognise) and keep it to re-read when the crunch arrives!
