The book is gorgeous and I loved the portraits of all the designers and the dresses. Wonderful catwalk images really capture the dresses in their fashion moment on the catwalk and bring them to life. The forward by the doyenne of fashion journalism Suzy Menkes and essay by esteemed Vogue editor Alexandra Schulman show a great insight into the idea of a favourite dress. One of the best fashion coffee table books of the year.

I bought this as a gift for my Mum. It's a gorgeous book. It looks nice, feels nice and was a great gift. It's true the content is not so much, there's (almost) a page of very large writing per dress but it's the kind of book that you'd keep picking up - a coffee table book. Mum's both a shopaholic and interested in fashion design so she was interested in this book from both points of view. It's even inspired her to start drawing up her own designs again! I would definately recommend this as a gift or a fabulous treat for yourself!

A beautiful book both in its content and its appearance. I found it an incredibly interesting opportunity to get a small glimpse into the minds of the designers. Whilst the designers continually design hundreds of beautiful dresses each season, there is always one that stands out in their minds which continues to inspire them. A truly gorgeous book.
