Ben, a dentist, and Susan, the worst cook in the world, are certainly loving, caring parents – they just have a problem showing it. Ben seems to be confused as to how much time and money his kids demand from him. Susan has to juggle motherhood, a career and a husband and doesn’t have enough time to manage everything, including improving her cooking skills. Nick is always working on his next hare-brained scheme to keep himself amused. Janey, like any other normal teenager feels that her parents are seriously embarrassing whilst Michael keeps his head in his books to get away from the noise.

Episodes:

  • The Serpent’s Tooth
  • A Pain in the Class
  • Droigt de Signeur Ben
  • The Last Resort
  • Farewell To Alarms
  • Death and Ben Take a Policy
  • The Awkward Phase
  • Much Ado About Ben

I have been waiting for this DVD for ages! It seems to me it took a long time to print but now that I have it in my hands and have watched it over and over I can safely say it was worth the wait. I loved watching My family on the telly and was longing to have it on DVD in order to watch it whenever I was feeling blue. It really is a "pick me up" and lifts my spirits instantly. How strange that a comedy can actually reflect on every day situations we all deal with (well, most of them anyway). A definite buy for all comedy lovers. Brilliant cast.

A better than average sit-com that doesnt rate alongside Ever Decreasing Circles, Only Fools And Horses or The Office...but the acting and comic timing of Robert Lindsay puts it pretty close.
Lindsay was brilliant in Citizen Smith and to be honest anything starring him is worth a view...

I love this show (the first 4 series anyway), a great nostalgic feeling to look back on. DVDs themselves are fine, shame there's no extras. Arrived in good time.

Meet the Harpers, if you don't know what a dysfunctional family is, well you really should
watch this show. I'm almost certain that they invented the word "dysfunctional".

Wanamaker and Lindsay have the best chemistry as the old married couple, but I think that Kris Marshall's Nick
steals the show!

beautiful acting and snappy dialogue make this show an all time favourite, The dysfunctional family has much to make any parent laugh out loud, I think the show has stuttered sometimes, especially soince Nick left, but overall remains a great success

I was very excited when I noticed this DVD in the shops as, in my opinion, My Family is quite possibly the most hilarious sitcom ever. I was not dissapointed in my excitement! There is not a single episode on this 9-episode disk that I wouldn't want to watch over and over again, and indeed I have watched them over and over again!
If anyone is feeling down, then buying this DVD is a surefire way in which to heighten the spirits! It's worth every penny!
In actual fact, I like this DVD so much that as soon as the second DVD came out I headed straight to the shops and purchased it straight away!
I would recommend this to anyone with a sense of humour, anyone at all!!!
This is indeed, without a doubt, one of the best programmes ever! Every single member of the cast is fantastically hilarious in their own individual way! (Especially the gorgeous Nick!)

Cheap, quickly delivered, perfect. I would suggest it to everybody, not just people who can't find enough time for shopping.

Finally I found a really nice TV series.

This is definatly worth buying. I have been a fan of My Family for years and no matter how many times I watch an episode it always manages to make me laugh.
