This is one of the funniest books I have read in a long time, as Ms Hill said it is the sixth in a loosely based series coming after The Reluctant Viking, Outlaw Viking, Tarnished Lady, Bewitched Viking and The Blue Viking. In this book we meet some of the characters from the previous books, Tykir and Lady Alinor and Bolther, the worlds worst Skald, we also say a sad goodbye to two of the characters from a previous book. This is Adam the Healer's Story and how he meet's Tyra, it is now 25 years since he and his sister Adela were adopted by Selik and Rain, Adela has died of sickness and Adam is no longer a healer. Tyra a warrior princess wants Adam to go with her to her Viking homeland and heal her father but Adam doesn't want to go this sets the scene for one of the books funniest passages when Tyra bops him over the head and flings him over her shoulder, when Adam wakes up he and his friend Rashid are on board her longship. Tyra is a big, loud Viking warrior princess who has four very beautiful younger sisters, she has no interest in marriage but her father has said she must marry first, but Adam is very interested in her despite the fact she thinks she is not appealing to men, you will laugh at Rashid who wants Adam to have a harem, at Alrek age 10 who wants to be a warrior but is very clumsy and who badly wants a father, namely Adam and Bolthor the world's worst Skald who writes about Adam the Lesser. I really think this is Ms Hill's best book so far, it is certainly the funniest and I hope she writes more of the same.
