I read ' my days of anger ' by James T. Farrell for my local book club meeting. A good read. The background it gave of Irish immigrant life in Chicago in the early part of the 20th. century was very powerful.The thoughts and happenings in the life of a depressed university student/petrol pump attendant were brought out very vividly, if you wish to read that sort of prose.I am pleased I managed to purchase a cheap secondhand copy of the paperback from Amazon.
